Saab 9-5 Touchscreen compatibility

Hi,
I've been offered an original Kenwood Saab Nav display screen at an excellent price. My question is, Is it likely to be compatible with my MacMini and associated bits and pieces.

The main problem is I don't recognise the connectors on the attached picture. Could I dispense with my Lilliput 619 touchscreen and incorporate this OEM Saab screen and still retain the functionality of the Mac Mini?
My system as planned would comprise:

Mac mini -
Bu-353 GPS receiver/ Directions Navigator 7
Rear camera
Carnetix 2140 power supply
Griffin Powermate

Therefore the only connections from my system to the Nav unit would be the Mac mini and the camera (all others would be via USB thru the Mac mini). I would need to retain the Hi Fi connections including the steering wheel controls and the connections to the I-bus.
I'd be grateful for any help anyone could offer.

Thanks
Colin

No.

No.

Those are qualified no's, though. If you're willing to open the unit up, figure out the output of the touchscreen, convert it to a serial or USB interface and write compatible drivers (if needed), then MAYBE.
For most of us, that's more effort than its worth.

Thanks DP - Concise and to the point

I have more chances of walking on water than doing the necessary steps you've outlined.
A shame though it would have retained an excellent oem look to the whole install. Hey Ho, back to the drawing board.

well, no.

even if you did all the driver crap to get it to work, the resolution is not likely to be high enough to run windows or mac. every car with factory navigation i've seen is poor resolution, like TV.

that is the whole point of why building our car computers is so cool. because if someone walked into a jaguar dealership or anything like that with all the money in the world, they still couldn't get something as good as what we can build.

(because no one really knows about high resolution touchscreen monitors that are small) they don't exist as far as the common person is concerned
