xenarc intrenals... 'button i/r board' removable?

So i've been trying to figure out where to put my dvd-rom drive and as i was driving to work today i noticed that could maybe shoehorn it under the screen if i that board was moveable. I haven't seen the guts of my monitor in a while...any input would be appreciated

Yes, you can move/remove them. I took mine completely out. The IR is separate. I moved it to the side of the screen and just use my remote if I need to change something.

I wouldn't completely remove them though...I've had a few times where I've had to recalibrate my screen for some screwey reason. That and being able to change from bright to middle to dim for brightness has been valuable at night when I also change my front end to night mode as well.

i'll just try to relocate the ir sensor since; iirc, those commands can be controlled via the remote as well
