Lilliput brightness issue

Whenever I power on my CarPC, the Bios screen looks perfect, then the Windows XP booting screen looks the same, but once windows loads the normal desktop, the brightness is soooo high that it almost looks white. Its horrible. This is the wierd part, once RR boots up and the skin load, the screen quality and color is perfect again. If I use the web from within RR, itll open Internet explorer inside RR, but the color of IE is horribly bright again and almost impossible to read, yet the RR skin around it looks perfect. What do I do, its driving me NUTS!!!

Go into your display properties. You might have gamma turned way up. Try a different refresh rate.

would that be on the lilliput display options or the pc?

That would be on your computer -

Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced...
It will be somewhere in there if your driver supports it.

i can get it to change the gamma, but after a bit, any carpc software i use changes it so the frontend looks perfect, but if i goto the desktop, its horrible. So i then manually adjust the gamma, and its still almost impossible to read. I am so lost right now..
