touch panel death?

hi, iv had my carputer working for a while now. its just develped a major problem with the touch panel.
the active area on the right seams to bend in towards the middle of the screen. iv tried clearning linerisation params and changing the driver and formatting the carputer. is it the touch panel thats likely to have gone or the controler board. the active area now looks like this(using the drawing tool on touchkit).

i cracked mine!

where can i get 4wire 8" /8.4" 4:3 aspect touch panels from for a reasonable price? everyone wants to charge more than a whole new touch display off ebay.

surely resisteive touch screens can be had for about 40 usd?

the problem is i cant see that i have broke mine. it still responds to a touch its just that it very inacurate. as the picture shows above. i want to deturmine if it is the controler or the resistive touch pannel itself. linerisation fails to correct the problem and usualy errors saying that the linerisation was inaccurate.

if it is the touch pannel how did i break it.. i havnt gave it any abuse.
