Question Flip out or regular monitor

Ok all I need some advice I am finally home and ready to start my first carpc project and I need some help on deciding wether or not to use a flip out vga monitor or a regular monitor. I have a 2004 Durango my Dash can except a double din unit so with my measurements I can go up to a 9 inch monitor with out making serious mods to the dash but I just need some help deciding on which way to go I already have a kicker 1200 watt amp and a 1 farad cap and two 12inch subs installed so I was thinking to save some room so that I would not have to run another amp to just get a flip out with an amp already inside but I like the way most of the members here have gone with the clean look and installed a regular monitor for the clean factory look but the problem with that is I would have to buy and take apart a monitor and rewire it for the power and vga which seems from my reading here a little complicated so i would greatly appreciate some input from some people here who have already finished there installs. thanx

Motorized always fail, they look cheap, and have too much bounce when you touch them. Also if you are any type of audiophile the built in amp sucks *** anyways.

Get a regular screen. 8" 4:3 is a good big standard size you can mold in. They come with cig. lighter adapters already. So just run 1 more wire from the battery for it, and then 1 more for the PC. And if you have the cap because of "dimming lights syndrome" you need to fix that too with bigger guage wire.

The wiring of a 12volt vga monitor is easy. 12 volts, vga cable and maybe USB if you go touch. Most of which you dont have to do anything too. Should almost be the same as a flip out screen. Except a remote turn on may be needed.

Worry more about molding it into the dash. And how big a screen you will be able to fit in there.
