If anyone is thinking of buying this I would suggest contacting avdeals.com. I just got a price quote of $750 Canadian including shipping which is quite good. I am not sure what they would sell it for in the States but most of the stuff is cheaper.

"And the fun begins when you switch the unit to PC mode. Its touchscreen turns into a input device that works like a mouse where you can click, select, and drag. Its slot-load DVD drive turns into a DVD-ROM that works just like an external USB DVD-ROM drive."
Wow.. If it's day light readable I am ordering one ASAP...

On the Connections PDF, what would number 16 (USB out) be used for?

The Xenarc MDT-X7000 is LITERALLY exactly like a NORMAL car head unit, except for the fact that it has a VGA/DVI input for a carputer. SO yes u can control ur 2 front amps.

Sub out is only one because it doesn't have a left and right channel. It only uses one because there is only the one speaker playing the noise (the low bass sounds). If you have more then one sub, both are still playing the same notes.

I bought this monitor. I have a H2, I can't figure out how to set the preset radio stations...
I had to have the steering wheel control remote emitter mounted in the dome light. very sensitive angles for the remote.
Also, the radio doesn't power on automatically when the truck starts. It lights up around the power button, but you actually have to power the unit on ( I need to figure that out as well). I even had it professionally installed so i think it is a setting
The touch screen is awesome, I have only used one other to compare, but this one is very sensitive and accurate.
I will post more when I use it a bit more.
Ohh.. and the volume... there is a weird delay, you have to adjust the volume and then click once more to make it go to the desired level. if you are looking for instant feedback, you have to adjust SLOWLY... weird.
Anyway, anyone know how to adjust presets? manual doesn't state at all.
Speaking of the manual- it sucks...

So the radio works only when not in pc mode. What does that mean exactly, all display of the pc through the monitor is cut off? I haven't seen any pictures, but I guess that means all the radio presets and display is done through the touchscreen itself? I don't see preset buttons on the unit itself.
Can anyone comment how this looks in direct sunlight?
