I have it drawing power from my M2-ATX, with the remote turn-on wire spliced into a 12V feed on my headunit. A test of the voltage at the monitor harness input shows voltages of between 11-12V for both the turn-on and power lines.
One thing I accidentally did was I touched the negative of the harness to an active +12V line from the car and I noticed some sparking. Did I short something? I checked the fuse on the positive line, but it seems to be fine.
Does the turn-on signal absolutely need 12V, or would something a little less (>11V) still work?
I would really appreciate some input.
I have it conected directly to the 12v of my car and still today works flawless.
I was going to conect to my opus , but im lazy
