I can't even imagine the business you'd do. I even see the carputer thing catching on at a lot of the car audio boards I frequent.

well, it would have to be a decent enough price that would make me want to go with this setup and not say "oh might as well put in the extra for a xenarc"

if that makes sense.

Yes I did. I found a company that has what I need. They offer their touch screens in a variety of sizes (2.2" - 21.0") and they also do custom sizes. I already ordered samples of a 7.5" and 5.8" touch screens, they should be here this week

Is USB a choice for connecting a controller or do you guys prefer serial (RS232)?

When I get my samples I will install it onto the in dash screen and I will post the results.

If everything works out good I will be able to start offering this package next week

Let me know your thoughts on this.

No VGA for now, sorry.

If everything works out then the touch kit will be $100.

If I am going to install the touch kit onto the monitor my self then the cost will be $230 + $100 (kit) + $install cost (should be a few $$$)

What do you guys think?

Also I am thinking about getting a 5.8" Touch Kit. Would there be any interest (same cost)?
