CarTFT CTF700-SH
Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a really good touchscreen, sunlight readable, transreflective... whatever, I just need somthing that will be useful in my car when the sun is shining. At the moment I can't see anything on the screen. Any recommendations ?
Thanks.

what size screen? are you fabricating an install or just want it stand alone in it's own housing?

After weeks of research and contacting every sunlight readable supplier I could find, I just ordered this screen.
http://cartft.com/catalog/il/870
CTF700-SH - VGA 7" TFT - Touchscreen USB - Autodimmer - IR Remote - Audio (600nits) -TRANSFLECTIVE PRO- *new*
* High brightness !
* One-cable-4-all !
* TRANSFLECTIVE !
* 600 nits !
New ! With special sunlight readable transflective TFT and Anti-Glare surface!
I have owned a Xenarc 700TSV, 2008 lilliput 629gl and a Motorcity lilliput 629gl and have been sadly disappointed in all of them. I hope this screen lives up to the specs!
Will post pics when I get it.
Price came to about $750USD shipped to CA so it's actually a bit cheaper than the mp3car one and twice the nits of a stock 629gl.

Definitely report back when you get it, on the brightness, transflectiveness, ease of use, and whether you can get actual 800x480 on it.
To be honest, it looks like a rebranded Lilliput, but I can't say for sure.

It's actually a rebranded Linitx but they don't have any US distributor that I could find.

I finally got this new CarTFT monitor a few days ago. I already installed it in my car and I must say it works perfect. You can't compare it to all these cheap non-transflective monitors. We do not have much sun in Poland this season, but I can finally enjoy my carpc during the day. The picture is very clear and bright and the autodimmer feature is really helpful during the night. The only disadvantage of this screen is that I see a "No signal" info for a short while when I start my car. It takes some time to detect the signal from the pc.

i have the ctf700-h, so without the sunlight readable trasflective coating, but that to has a pretty good picture in the sunlight, i have only switched of the automatic dim-function. It also dimmed when you use the touchscreen.

I received my screen today. 2 day shipping from Germany! I got the transflective pro version for about $700 shipped
The first thing I noticed is it is a very solid screen. The case is very sturdy and heavy. The connector is actually a wire that comes out of the unit so no more bad connections with plugs on the side of the screen. The wall adapter is European only so I will have to use another one I have at home but it does have a car adapter.
I hooked it up in the car and it's awesome. To sum it up, The worst it looked was the best the lilliput ever looked. It is more than bright enough in direct sunlight, top down, clear sky. I could not find a lighting angle that I couldn't see the screen. It was readable 100% of the time.
There is hardly any reflection on the screen at all. The only problem with the sun directly behind me was that finger prints were visible. The touch screen works very well and does not require your finger nail. It works just fine with your finger tip. They also include a nice stylus that looks like a full size pen and not a small plastic stick. The touchscreen worked immediately with the touchkit software.
I don't think it has auto video2 switch on signal but it does have a trigger wire which can be wired to the reverse lights.
I'll take some pics later and post them.
This is my 3rd LCD and I wish I had spent the extra bucks in the first place and just bought this one. I haven't tried to get 800x480 yet but cartft.com has drivers on their site for it.
I gotta say I'm very happy.

I think you mean my screen. Is rotated under the shelf of the center consol. The shelf is standard. From outside the car you can only look ontop of the shelf, so the screen can't bee seen. You can see the shelf moving.
