Reverse camera on Lilliput screens?

Hi guys,
just a quick question, ive been doing some research and im going ahead and buying all the bits and pieces for my project. Im looking at a 7" touchscreen and have my eyes on the Lilliput EBY701 at the moment because it seems like the best value. Just a few questions first.

1. Does this monitor have a switch that i can hook to my reverse lights so it will switch to the reverse camera input when i put it in the gear?

2. Is the 2008 model of the EBY701 brighter like the 629, etc seems to be ?

Any other info on the new models would be great guys,

1. no. it has 3 video inputs (1 VGA and 2 composite), but you have to select them manually.

2. I have seen some eBay sellers claim that the "new" model is brighter but I haven't read any reliable information on that one. until I do I would just assume it's the same as the older models.

I have the EBY701, it's nothing special but it does the job well for the price (it's usually the cheapest 7" VGA touchscreen you can find)

I haven't searched for it yet, but I've heard that there's a thread out here somewhere that describes the circuit to build and wire to your screen so it automatically switches the video modes for the inputs when you go into and out of reverse. Just a quick FYI if you care to dig for it and build the circuit. Good luck!
