800x480 on EVGA e-7050/610i motherboard

So i just bought this motherboard at a very decent price from a friend for my new core 2 duo... i was wondering if i could get 800x480 on this system?

couldnt find much when i searched

In the Nvidia control panel there is a option for custom resolutions. You can try to set 800x400 there. It will try to load it and if it doesn't take it will revert back.

so i can setup the res, but i cant change to it... wierd..

no, you can change to it. It test to see if your monitor will display it. If it can't it will go back to the default setting.

mentor, ohio... thats were i am. now that wierd
