Hello All,

Could do with a little help. I have a Lilliput 629 Transflective touchscreen. When connected to my desktop, the screen works fine. I power it using the 12v rail out of the atx power supply.

The Car PC specs are as follows:

Opus Mini-ITX case 120w
Commell LV-681 Mini ITX Board
AMD Turion TL-60 2.0GHz
2GB DDR Ram
160GB SATA HDD
Slimline DVD-RW

When I connect it to the VGA on the carpc, I get VGA signal whilst the system is loading up (before all the windows stuff kicks in), and then the screen says "no input signal".

I've connected the carpc to my in house desktop monitor and it works fine, no problem with the vga signal.

Has anyone else had any similar problems? I can only think that the lilliput isnt getting enough power from the powersupply... wanted some opinions before i start digging....

resolution isnt supported.

Change to 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, or the actual supported resolution of 800x480

hey 2k1,

tried it on 640x480, 800x600 and 1024 x 768. same problem. I dont have the option to set the resolution to 800 x 480. can i force it to display this resolution.

have you had any experience with the lv-681? or know of any known faults etc.

I have the same problem. But only sometimes. I'm still in bench test mode, but I'd hate for this to happen once installed. I've seen older posts about the VGA setting, but I've checked mine and it's set correctly. I would love to know how you make out or what you find out.

Well my older Commell LV-670m has strange video problems sometimes. But changing resolution and refresh rates, help.

Instead of trying different resolutions, try some new refresh rates as well. 60Hz to 75Hz is normal. But you can try anything just to see if it helps. And there is a atulity around that will force strange resolutions (like 800x480).

Hello All,

I seem to have stumbled upon a solution for this:

For the Bios and Dos stuff before the windows stuff kicks in

This is quite simple, go into your bios, and you should be able to select the type of monitor you are using and set a resolution for it. In mine I set it to CRT + LCD at a resolution of 800x600.

"No Input Signal" when windows stuff loads

Once I got the screen working consistently during bios load up, I simply reinstalled a fresh copy of windows. Once windows was installed, If you look at device manager, there should be a question mark next to the VGA Adaptor. I simply did not load the correct driver for the VGA adaptor as this was the culprit. I have just left it as it is using the standard generic windows version. I get 32-bit colour and 800x600 resolution which is fine for me.

Ok,

Yes the screen works but it has led to 2 problems i didnt see coming....

1. hibernation doesnt work, vid card needs the correct drivers in order to hibernate

2. videos dont play properly.

It has got something to do with the refresh rate and i will be investigating that later on tonight and will post the results up on this thread:

Ok, I seem to have stumbled onto the same problem with my monitor.

Everything was working fine until I started powering the monitor from my pc power supply. (M2-atx) Never a single problem until then.
So I plugged the AC power adapter back in and now it still shows the BIOS and windows XP starting, then goes to "no signal".
If I boot up with an old CRT monitor it works fine. After boot up, I can unplug the CRT and plug in my LCD and it works fine. When I go to restart, the same problem comes back.

I did not find anything in my BIOS that allowed me to change the resolution, only the type of monitor (VGA). The resolution in the display settings is the same as my supported resolution on the LCD (1024x768)

How and where do I check the refresh rates?

I have not tried reinstalling Windows. If I do that, will I have to reload all my programs and data?

This is so frustrating, the last time the pc was started it worked. I changed the power source for the screen and now it doesn't.

Please help

Edit: Sorry, this is not a Lilliput, but the problem is identical. I am using a Litemax 10.4" LCD.

Ok, I figured out how to change the the refresh rate. I changed from 60Hz to 75Hz with no change.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the video drivers, no change.

Found in the BIOS where to change monitor from CRT to LCD, no change. Still have not found anything in the BIOS about resolution.

Ok, if I boot up with the monitor off, then turn it on after windows boots, it works. Why?

Atleast yours works with some configuration.

I tried your method on mine and I just get "out of range". Strange problem....

Try turning on the monitor until the BIOS screen starts, then turn it off and let Windows start. Turn it back on when Windows is done booting. That is what I have to do. It really sucks to have to do this, but at least it works.

I thought you resolved your start up issues with drivers and windows reinstall? I did a complete reformat and reinstall on my system with no change. I am still waiting for some support from LiteMax to resolve this, as mine was a extremely expensive display and I really don't want this problem. I'll post a fix should I ever get one.

Hello All,

I dont know what it is with the ATI Express drivers, but they dont seem to work, every angle is giving me either "no input signal" or "out of range". So, my solution, PCI Nvidia graphics card.

I bought one, installed the drivers and everything and it works 90%. When you power up the computer all the BIOS stuff loads, it then goes onto the windows stuff and starts up.

The problem I seem to be getting is after it has hibernated. when it restarts the monitor does not receive a signal, in fact i think its the computer. It does not restart properly from hibernation unless you pull out the power plug and then start it again.

This is a minor problem, I figure I will just fit a switch on the dash to turn the main power to the system on and off. Otherwise, the screen is a charm, works beautifully.
