i have an EBY701 and it's ccfl, but it's the best-looking Lilliput i think, so i don't want to go for the 619 or 629 even though the specs are better.

Do you think the new EBYs will be LED?

Basically, the way I tested was by using my dvd player in the house. I did not connect the dvd player to the LCD monitor in any way. Then, turn on the LCD and set it to PC input with the desktop showing. Then plug in the composite from the DVD player into Video 1 -- no change. Unplug and plug into Video 2 - no change. Tried this over and over with different options in the service menu, and no luck.

Oh well. Guess I could have left the DVD player OFF and connected to the LCD -- then turn the DVD player on/off instead of the way I did it before to see if I had any luck. Don't think it would make a difference, and would have to try later 'cause I don't feel like hooking everything up for testing again right now <g>

I have the same screen menus and still no auto switch. Dont think its available.

The new EBY701-NP/C/T is LED back light and has the same hidden menu as the 629.

Most def is..... the heat build up isn't bad like the CCFL version. On the three EBY701s for the front I had to incorporate fans to keep them at a comfortable temperature. The fourth was LED and required no mods.
