Not powering on

One day my DWW-700h just stopped working. No reason why.

When powered, the button backlight turns on. Now, it doesn't. I opened the screen up and tested good connectivity from the input wires all the way to the ribbon cable in the back of the screen. (see pics). I am testing with a 12v battery on my bench and a multimeter. The screen was powered off of my PSU. I do not see any signs of burnt transistors, no smell. I secured all other internal connections. Couldn't find any fuses.

Does anybody have any additional testing ideas? Thanks

bbalazs is an unknown quantity at this point
That IC between grey wire and tip of your multimeter is a swiching regulator (I suppose LM2575 or so), measure the voltage on the pins. It produces 5V of 12V. Really?

I do not think, the panel does not have any fuse. Search component written F1 on the pcb. It perhaps does not seem to be a fuse. It sometimes looks like a green resistor or a small white brick, newest models are opaque plastic with small orange spot inside.

Have you got a photo of MUCH better quality of the panel?

bbalazs, thanks for your response. I found the problem. The ribbon cable towards the back of the unit was a little loose. I checked every connection except that one. Thanks again!
