thanks....ryan
also...what drivers are you using?
Unfortunately I have to say again that the the problem wasn't solved

But it does it a lot less now.
I think the final reason is indeed that the touch panel is poor quality and that the problem has something to do with the conductive film of the panel. It's either broken or then somehow touching other layers of the panel structure, I don't know.
Reason for the previously discribed behaviour (pointer jumps right where I touch, not between the problem point and touch point) is, I believe, that the false reading is so weak compared to the touch of finger. That's why it also does that odd twitching when touching the panel very gently.
Solution for this problem?
Well.. you could try to find a place that fixes the problem when pressed and then try to apply a constant pressure there by stuffing matter between the case frame and touch panel or between tha lcd and touch panel.
New panels from China really are cheap but I don't know if it's worth of ordering as they're prolly the same crap as this one.
rsema: btw where did you purchase your screen? Have you contacted the company who ever sold it and if, have they responsed anything?
PS: the brand of the LCD is NiceView or atleast it's sold with that name in some sites...
PS PS: Is there any electronics guru around here who would know how to reduce the sensitivity of the panel? So maybe that way I'd get rid of the "ghost touch". Adding some more resistance won't help anything as it measures the change, not absolute value right?
