So I had the common problem of the screen losing it's settings every now and again. I contacted Xenarc and they told me I could buy a new control board without this problem for $115, but I had to send in my old board first. This was a pain because I had to be without control of my computer for a couple weeks while I waited for the new one. Very annoying. After a couple weeks, the new one came in. The first thing I noticed was that it had what looked to be some hand soldered areas. That's fine, refurbished works. Then I noticed the clip for the ribbon cable was broken off. Ok, as long as the cable stays in the connector. So I get it all put back together and it seems to be working perfectly. Then the next day, my brightness was back down to 33% and the screen was all off center. WTF!
I reset it, and it lost its settings again on the next reboot. It now loses it's settings almost every time the computer reboots or the resolution changes! I paid $115 to fix a problem, and the "new" part is even worse! They told me this part would have no warranty, but I'm gonna call them and raise hell. They'd better work with me here.
