there isnt. They all suck to be honest.
Also do you want 1-din or 2-din?
With 2-din you are limited to the DWW-650 (or equivalent branded models).
With 1-din you basically have lilliput and xenarc. Both are good. Xenarc has an auto-switch inputs for like a reverse cam from what I am told. The motor/worm gear in both of them will fail rather soon rendering your $400 to $800 screen useless or permanently ghettoed.

<personal taste>
The only way to get it to look clean is to make it look OEM which means a screen molded into your dash so it looks like the car came that way. I have never seen an OEM with a 1din flipout. It just looks cheap. Also when you press it, the screen will wobble or bounce back a bit which to me would be pretty annoying.
So time, a regular screen, some epoxy, bondo, primer, and paint and more time, you will have best results.

Motorized screens usually stick out a bit, so it definately does not look as neat and stock as a molded screen.
Ive taken apart my k301. Inside, it has metal gears and looks very solid and well built to me. But the opening/closing sequence does not feel as smooth as the new motorized xenarc, or the pioneer/alpines.

Been running an indash for a couple of years, If you want an OEM look forget about it. But sometimes there is little options. I only had a one din slot and did not have fab skills. The indash was a good option, but does not look like it is part of the car from factory.

I got one of these, they are cheapish hong kong screens, but are a manual eject.
one thing is they can swivel, like most screens they are average in high light.
but im pretty happy with mine, it has 1 VGA and 2 video inputs too for cameras as well.

its about USD $233.00.
their automatic eject one can not swivel left/right, but has a tv turner as well..

thx, can i see more pics of the screen installed. want to see how much it sticks out of the din slot when closed if at all..
if i may say so, these do look better than the xenarc( that are twice the price) or am I missing something.

check out my car pc profile
and when its closed it sticks out the same as a car stereo,
only issues i had with the install was you cant use long screws when you screw it in, or the screen gets locked in...about 3 washers fixed that.
the manual one is pretty robust, i havent broken mine yet.
the xenarc ones might be a better quality build or have a lower failure rate perhaps
umm.. its a 4wire touch screen, comes with drivers, mine setup real easy on win xp pro. right on the very edges (a few mm at most) and extreme corners are tricky to click sometimes, but once you skin it with a front end.. wont be a problem.
as i said its not a trans reflective screen, so can be hard to read in high light, esp if you wear polarized sunglasses. in general its viewable enough to drive and change music etc. with nav software most have voice guidance (and you shouldnt be reading a computer screen while driving)
thats my thoughts on them, and i was being pretty honest, im happy with mine.. if i had more money to spend i might look at these.. but at $750US, thats out of my current pricing

Woof....buddy, thx for your opinion.
I came across a thread on this very helpful site where a company is working on a USB touchscreen adapter for alpine screens. Now that is something that would really suit my requirements perfectly. Not sure exactly what the timelines or price of that will be, perhaps for the interim period an cheap and cheerful solution like the screen you proposed is in order.
Can I ask you whether you can tilt your screen left and right....as my dash is angled towards the driver - i would like to tilt it left (UK) to point to the passenger.

having researched this particular screen, i can see that you can tilt this from side to side which is great as my supra cockpit is tilted to the driver.
what i would ask you for is a side pic of the screen when it is out to get an idea as to how far is stretches out of its base unit.
here is my interior shot

I ended up going for this, I reckon this screen would do me just fine until the Alpine Touchscreen adapter is available.
