Navigation output to another monitor

Hi guys, this is my very first post... So Hi!

I have a 01 IS300 with AVIC D3 head unit installed. I recently purchased the stock navigation housing (flip-out) and I am planning to replace it with a new lcd. I understand that on the D3, you can only output video not navigation on to another monitor. I was wondering if there is a switch box or an adapter I could use for this problem? Is there such a thing as switching two monitors feed?

Also, I was wondering how I could automatically flip the navigation everytime I start up my car.? I know ive read it here before, but I couldn't seem to find the thread.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

if you use RR as your front end there are some topics where people have been playing around with that notion

Hi crooked toe, thanks for the reply. what is RR? is that road runner? I'm a newbie.

I'll try and search for threads about the navigation.. id really like it to work, since the D3 is installed below the AC control, id like to be able to see the navigation on the other monitor... although I've never even heard of the term "carputer" until I stumbled upon this website, having one seems appealing to me.. wish I've heard of this before I purchased my d3.. id so prefer a carputer.. you think having two is a little too much??
