Anyone have a source for this fuse??

So, I was an idiot tonight quickly hooking my LCD back up...and hooked it up to my 15V supply for my laptop instead of my 12V supply for my LCD.

Needless to say, the LCD won't power on now. The board looks fine (I pray) - only damage is one glass fuse looks blown.

It is pictured in this thread - marked in red as "blown fuse"

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/lcd-...-inverter.html

I will try to get a better picture of it up later, but thought someone might know what fuse it is (or at least the details of it, so I can replace with something else).

As always, thanks.

mouser.com has a pretty good selection of all things. No minimum order and I think they even ship up north with USPS. I cant help you identify what fuse it is or rating as I dont have that screen, and that picture is way too blurry.

But I would check mouser first.

As 2k1Toaster said, those pictures are way to blurry to be able to tell.

Look at the metal rings on either side of the fuse.. there should be markins to indicate what size and/or what its rating is. If not, there's usually a part # and you can use google to see if you can find it's details.

In a pinch there's also RadioShack -- take the board with you and look for something similar, both in size of the fush and size of the wire in the fuse. But be prepared to pay a ridiculous amount of $$ for the fuse.

I have an old dead SUPER brand PCB with an intact fuse (IIRC). I can send you the entire thing for like $5 if you want. I'll have to check later to see if it's the same as in that thread.

edit: yep, looks like it's the same board and the fuse checks out ok with my continuity tester. Other components of the board have been removed (power jack, inverter, touch screen controller and a couple other things). PM me if you want it
