I damaged my ribbon cable (I think) on my LinITX TMR and was hunting for a replacement, but could not find one. The mp3car store sells one for a Xenarc, though. I counted the number of pins, and both have 40. I also emailed them requesting the width, to see if it would fit my connector. If these match, is there anything else I should look into? I was thinking that maybe all 7" LCDs use identical ribbon cables, because the difference between a Xenarc and LinITX TMR is the reflective layers, not necessarily a difference in the VGA signal coming in. Any thoughts? Has this been done before (one brand cable into another screen)?

The xenarc cable will fit. It's the same type of cable.

I have the cable from a Xenarc 700TSV in my TMR monitor. Just check that the wires is not crossed, and the cable is made that way, so one of the sides is stripped to the left, and the other to the right, then it's fine to use.

thanks for the tips. Do you mean your linitx tmr? Also what do you mean by stripped on the left and right side?

went ahead and ordered. confirmed as working. now i just need a replacement cable for the buttons, stupid thing got pinched and now does not work.
