Xenarc 702TSV VGA vs. LinITX 7" Widescreen TRANSFLECTIVE (Just released!)

Hey all been doing a lot of reading trying to get my carpc up and running. I have the computer pretty much built but have been undecided about which LCD monitor to get. I read a lot of people liked the cartft monitor with TR but it was a little out of my price range. They also said that the cartft was just a rebranded linitx. I been checking the linitx website for them to have the LCD's instock and found to my delite they now offer their 7" LCD with TR! I've also heard good things about the Xenarc 702TSV 1000nit. Which do you think is the better buy? linitx with TR for 100 more or Xenarc for 100 less but has 5 wire USB?

Yeah, no one else seems to know about this screen or care for it I guess. I decided to go with the carft.com CTF700 which is about $100 US dollars more and which is a little brighter(100 more nits). I'll tell you what, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The LCD is perfectly readable in all conditions.

Does it get really hot?? I heard that the Xenarc gets hot.. Do you think 100Nits is that much more of a difference? I had my heart set on the Linitx screen but i don't wanna run into a problem with the screen and have to spend 100 bucks to send it back to them.

It does get a little warm, but nothing I really that bad I dont' think. I don't really have a lot of experience with other monitors to compare. The CTF700 was the first and only LCD I have purchased. Maybe someone else could chime in on if 100nits is that much more of a difference.

As for sending it back to Europe, The cartft monitor I bought came from Germany. I messed up the screen the first time opening it as I was trying to place it in my own frame and had to send it back. USPS cost about 30 bucks to ship. Although, it took about a week to arrive, They sent it back 2 day mail (which cost me some more money since i voided the warranty).

ahh i c. I didn't realize that screen was a TMR screen i thought u found a screen and was comparing it to the Xenarc 1000nit. Thats the one i'm thinking about getting. It really doesn't matter in price since the Linitx transflective dropped to 508 and the Xenarc is only 500. I just want to make sure that the Xenarc is sunlight readable and it doesn't melt my dash lol.

My understanding was the Xenarc is readable but produces a lot of glare. So in direct sunlight it might be like someone shining a light in a mirror and directing it at you (which could blind you. Not sure how much sunlight you get in your car, but even my car with some heavy tint on the all 4 windows and the rear windows still sometimes has sunlight shining on where I placed the LCD. So I decided TR was a better option for me. The one I bought was from here: http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/870

From my understanding that screen is just a rebranded linitx screen. Do you know if that is true? Cause the linitx is like 100 dollars cheaper
