EBY701 USB modification

My touch screen layer broke (cracked) in my EBY701 (or equivalent ) Lilliput monitor. I just bought a new touch screen and touch screen USB controller for the repair. I felt better going with a new controller entirely because I think the onboard one has been defective and flaky ever since I first bought it two summers ago.

I was curious of WHICH wires inside the wiring harness are the 4 USB wires... 5v+ 5v- Data+ Data- so I don't have to run another USB cable under the carpet, just use the same USB cable thats already running through the VGA cable that came with my lilliput lcd.

If anyone has had any experience with that, any help is appreciated. Thank you

this is from an 8" Lilliput monitor; I'm not sure if it's the same connector and pinout as the EBY701, but it might help

even if you find an EBY701 specific pinout diagram I would still verify it with a multimeter before you solder anything. it's only 4 wires, so it should be fairly easy to find them.

thanks!

Well. I ended up kinda screwing over my lilliput today. I bought a new replacement Digitizer from mp3car shop..

Got it, FITS great! Connector is in the wrong size of the screen, so i soldered some wires onto the connectors from the Touchscreen 4 pin connector on the board of the EBY701 and connected them into the touch screen plug of the digitizer panel.

didn't work, figured the EBY701 built in Touch screen controller wasn't compatible or something... I know for a fact I had a good connection, tried plugging in backwords also.

So... fidgeting around, I accidently ripped the video cable coming from the LCD panel to the main Lilliput board. Come to notice that the connector on the lcd might be damaged, unsure though, I don't have another cable to work with.

Heck.

So I bid on a new EBY701 that has a "turns on to just a blue screen, nothing further"
... so I'll just use my main board out of my eby701 in that eby701 I bid on.
