EBY701 Electrical and Video question.

My setup is rather massive (which im starting to regret) and it requires alot of components for the 3 roof top screens. I need your guys opinions and or facts on a few things. My MoBo came with a VGA port and a DVI-D port. In order to use the DVI-D port I had to convert the 3 screens to 100% digital via a DVI-D to VGA converter (no not the cheap one) and it requires that it be attached to the monitor, not the PC. I took the roof panel out my car and touched the metal roof on a hot day and realized that putting any electronic up there would mean certain death for the device. So now I have to extend everythinggggggggggggg. The DVI-D converter is going to plug directly into the splitter, and then 20ft VGA cables come from that to the screen, I think it will work because the splitter instructions say it can be run along 210ft of cable.

Has anyone dealt with VGA splitters, can I attach the converter directly to it?

Powering: I have to extend all the regulators and cigarette lighter plugs down to the floor, if they stay up in the roof, i am concerned the heat will destroy them.... How should i go about doing it? Would I have to run a 12V+ and ground for each screen?

USB: Two of the flip downs are USB touchscreens.... Originally I wanted to have a tiny USB hub in the roof, then the 2 panels connected to it, then 1 single USB extension running down. Now that the heat issue has come up, will I have a issue running 2 USB extension cables to a powered 7 port hub?

Thanx in advance for any help.
