If I was too obscure by just saying "the store", I meant the mp3car store. Link here.

Don't worry that it lists them for 619/629, works perfect with a 701

I've just ordered one for myself... should make mounting my EBY701 in my camry much easier :-) now i only have to sort out GPS software and maps for aus, and i'll be all set... again... :-D
The postage for aussies is a bit ouchie... $36US for postage for a $30 item... though it is express post i must admit...

I'm having trouble finding this on the bybyte.com website. Under products, where exactly can I find just the frame? I found the frame + an EBY701 already installed but I can't find where you can purchase just the frame by itself.
EDIT: Got it. Thanks.

I wanted to purchase one of these but I was turned away by the fact that you have to double-side tape the screen onto the kit. I know that people are going to want to remove them or align them wrong and will have to shatter the screen in order to get it off. Now, if they come with a solution that does away with the tape, I would go for it. This will especially be a deal breaker with people with transflective screens, they won't like the idea of a shatter screen

im not going to use that tape in the front. theres some of the tape on the tabs you can fold over and use to secure it by the plastic. that is my way of making it to be able to be readjusted if need be. it help in place just by test fitting it and leaving the film cover on.

I noticed from the specs they have listed it looks like they're selling the older version of the 629. Do you think the 2008 629 fits their frame? Or might it have the same problem as the WRX kit?

I bought his full double din kit and took the 629 out of my Mekatronics kit and put it in this new one. It fits fine and looks to be a good solution for me. I think I have a slighly older 629...
My only complaint is that the little tabs seem like a flimsy way to hold the screen and circuit board. I put some strips of electrical tape on the controller board to act as insulation and then I used some puffy double sided tape to act as a barrier against the LCD and controller board from rattling against each other.
Then I have to tap and drill the holes for my Commell board and I think it will work nicely.

Got mine today - Looks like a real quality product if you ask me. Came in nice packaging and whatnot. Here's some pictures:
Red strips are double-sided foam tape to better secure the Touchscreen:
Side shot:
LCD held in place, looks like it will be a nice fit:
Back side:
Came with all screws necessary plus some extra tape:
And lots of business cards:
I'll post some more pictures once I get my replacement touchscreen in. It should be here tomorrow so I should have pictures up tomorrow.
I'm happy with it so far!!
