i bent those tabs down to hold my screen in place just from the back so if i ever need to pull it out, i can without shattering the screen. its just sitting in my box of carputer parts, so its not really testing out the durability of that method sitting in a box. ill let everyone know how it goes once i get all my interior peices to install it.

does anyone here use this mount for a 619? did you get it to work without modifications?

I drilled/tapped mine out for a Commell LS-372 and a DSX12VD and it worked great:

the frame is actually pretty sturdy... but you have to bend the connector a bit to make it fit... i was kind of weary at first doing this but its not that hard......

ONE ADVICE..... for anybody who is getting this.
MAKE SURE TO TAPE THE TS SCREEN TO THE MONITOR SECURELY... because a few hours in intense heat will melt the four clear tape and it will fall right out of place.... it would be really hard putting it back since you have that double head tape around the rim of the ts screen... just my 2 cents.. happen to me a month ago now i got to take it apart to find a way to retape it without making it look weird..

Regarding the note about the tape, I should note that in the pic above I hadn't even removed the backing from the double sided tape yet. When I did, it was very "tacky"" and seems strong. I also used the little bendable supports to support the LCD and not the controller board. The controller board is supported by a small flap of metal and electrical tape. If it falls loose, it wouldn't hurt anything because of the cables and what not.

@americasfuture, can you post a pic of your connector? It seems to be different than mine because I didn't have any issue.

question, what screen are you guys using ? Liliput? what do you do with the buttons?

from my understanding from what i read in another thread, you remove the front bezel of the touchscreen and the buttons has a separate circuit board that u can move? is this true. Im just doing lots of research before i undertake a carpc.

the double din bezel and screen looks great.....keep up dah good work.

I used a Lilliput for mine and I think that is what everyone is doing. My Lilli has a small white ribbon cable that connects to a small circuit board with the buttons and IR sensor on it. The ribbon connects via a small connector that you can unclip to disconnect the ribbon cable.

the frame is for the screen in which the thread is titled. the eby701 by lilliput.

you remove then entire screen assy from its plastic casing. the button panel with the remote sensor built in is placed on the back power board. it is recommended that you cover all the back of the button board with some electrical tape. but i would choose a better screen with a respectable double din screen frame to use. its going to cost you.
