double din frame for the eby701

yup. came across this in a search for double din kits on here. appears that the user was banned. only one review, but it was a good one. they have a kit to mount up a eby701. since i got one and the frame was only 30 bux, i decided i would gennypig just this one time. my eby does have the 800x600 res permantly fried, but ive gotten other res's to work on it. google bybyte to find this. its the first search result. looks to be some decent stuff on there.

I bought one from him, works fine - however for my double DIN was slightly slimmer, and had to sand back a bit, only top and bottom about 2mm. Other than that can't fault it.

i purchased the 629 last night. can't wait to get it.

im using a 700tsv and the width is smaller than 180mm but the height is about 1/4" more than the frame. hopefully i can figure out a fix.

ive been mocking up how i want the screen to go on. im wanting it to be removable too if it needs to come out for any reason, so im not peeling the red film from the double stick tape of the screen area. im folding those tabs over to hold it from the back. i mocked the frame up to my aveo double din mounting kit, and its perfect. ill post pictures when i get off my lazy arse and load them onto my botophuckit. can i see pictures of your screens mounted to the frame and what they look like mounted in your cars?

I got the frame in Thursday night and started mocking up my xenarc.

The screen itself actually fits perfectly.

My problem though is the circuit board that attaches to the back of the screen. There is about 1/4" that hangs below the frame.

I also ordered a new DIN kit that just came out for my car so hopefully I can figure out a way to attach the board horizontally or something.

If you're putting it in a DIN kit then it should be easily removable.

i meant making it easy to remove the screen from the bybyte frame. it says on the frame and the site that once the screen is on the tape, it can not be removed. that tape looks like 3m automotive body trim double stick tape. ive messed with that stuff before, and its no joke on stickyness. i would not want to shatter my budget screen trying to remove it from the frame.
