Replacement Touchscreen

Well this morning I had my Lilli EBY701 on the floor in its box, next to my desk. On my desk was my printer with a shirt on top of it. While I was getting ready for work I set my phone on top of the shirt and went to tie my shoe when the phone slid off my shirt and landed perfectly on my screen sending 3 cracks through it.

Nice, huh?

This thing has never been installed in a car before because I never got around to finishing permanently setting up my laptop for the car. Pretty much brand new screen is now cracked, so I was livid.

I have a few questions...

1) The replacement touchscreen in the mp3car store -- does this include the glass that I cracked today?

2) It lists that it fits the Lilli 619 and 629's... does anyone know if it will also fit the EBY701 that I have? I measured the screen and the dimensions are pretty similar, but the length of my screen only matches what the replacement is listed as if I measure just the pixel section , while the width dimension only matches the description measurement if I measure the entire thing - greenish border and all.

I would just like to know if I need to replace just the touchscreen, or get an entirely new Lilli.

One more thing -- Has anyone used the Double DIN Bolt-in Kit sold in the store? It says that it is not compatible with the 619 or 629, but fails to mention what it is compatible with. Anyone know?

I'm not quite sure what happened to the date of this post, but I definitely made it May 20th 2008. Not sure why its dated '01.

Did you check to make sure you didn't crack your LCD screen? Cause if you did, you are just better off getting a new one. Lilliput will sell you a lcd screen for like 100 bucks. And every time you call, there on a 20 week backorder??

I know cause I tried, and it was just easier and almost cheaper to buy a new one.

It's not the LCD screen because it still displays just fine, plus there's no broken crystals/stuck pixels where the cracks are.
