Xenarc Auto-On
I own a xenarc 700TSV, from day one the auto-on has been very iffy.
Before, it'd sometimes refused to turn on when the computer resume.
Well lately, it is doing it alot more often, almost every second times now.
How it works is that, when the computer wakes up, it gets power (LED turns on) but it does not turn on the LCD, then the LED goes off, and it stays off.
When the power button is pressed the screen will turn on like normal. I guess its ok if i didn't hide my button behind the dash, cuz everytime it does not auto on, i have to open up my whole dash to press the power button.(as i'm typing this up, i just thought of: i never tried to restart my computer to get the screen to turn on again, but eitherway that's still a hassle). One thing i have tried that did not work either was to keep the power button pressed, and i also tried to use the xport video sync program with no success.. I'm extremely fed up with this problem, and i searched around and i dont see anyone with the same problem. I'm going to attemp to troubleshoot this myself. I would love anyone to share some information on how the auto-on feature works, ie circuitry, or whatever info thats relevant, and any other ideas on tests that i could try to find the problem. I'm going to use a home plug instead of the DSATX to power it to see if its a power sync problem. I'm going open it up again, to see if anything is loose (highly doubtful). Any input is highly appreciated.

I have had a 700TSV for over two years and it is iffy like yours for auto power on. I hooked it up to the 12V drive power from my M1-ATX so that it gets powered up when the PC turns on. Every once in a while it acts up and I have to either cycle its power or reboot the PC. My screen is in the dash with the buttons hidden too, but the IR reciever is accessible so I can use the remote to power cycle the screen. These are the best workaround solutions I have found and I have read about other folks complaining about these things before too so it is not just a problem unique to your unit.

It seems like my xenarc does not have an ir receiver at all, and it did not come with a remote. Must've been cuz its an older version. Well it looks like ur is powered from the psu as well. I'll try to test it with a wallplug when i get a chance to. If anyone is powering one off with an inverter or anything other than a psu and have this problem, please let me know.

If you have a 700TSV, it has an IR sensor on the button panel. It looks like an LED that is gray and it doesn't light up. When I mounted my screen in a custom bezel, I moved the sensor to put it behind a little hole so that it is functional, even though the other buttons are not available.
Here is a page that may provide other useful info:

ok I think I figured it out. Its the cable, where the connector connect to the screen. Since the car moves alot, and it gets loose. When I pulled it apart when operating properly. Then I pulled the connection as far apart as it'll let me without falling off. Then I turned it on. Led turned on then blinked then turn off. Means that its not getting signal for auoto-on. I ended up using a wire and tied it closed to the screen as possible and we will see how rhat will work out.

Just letting everyone know, my previous solution does not work.
I'll be doing some more tests.
