Lilliput 619 Touchscreen Monitor

I currenlty bought a lilliput 619 touchscreen monitor used off ebay back in january. The monitor has currenty died on me and need a new monitor.

Now, i already have the 619 monitor fabricated into my dash, so i am looking for the same type of monitor so i dont have to fabricate it again.

My question is will the new lilliput 619 touchscreen LCD (which i think the lcd has changed) fit into the old lilliput 619 case?

From the look of the pic on the website, the case looks the same.

I am hopping it does so i can just buy the monitor and put it into my dash, otherwise i will have to fabricate the whole thing again.

Thanks..

I believe this is the monitor element you needs so you can avoid spending $200+, if the screen itself is the problem. How did it break?

Thanks for your reply.

The LCD is fine, its the main board behind the lcd that doesn't work. It has to do with the 12v connection on the mainboard, looks like its bent. When i plug in the power cord for the lilliput nothing happends. When i fiddle wiht the power cord on the actual mainboard it will turn on for a sec and will stay on if its in the correct position but as soon as i let it go and goes back to the bent position and turns off.

So that problem is the power slot on the mainboard of the lilliput. Not sure how it got bent, but maybe when i took my dash kit out it hit something a bend just enough to mess it up.

So, the lcd works fine, but the mainboard is whats wrong. So, i wont be able to get the mainboard by itself, so was just going to get a new lilliput 619 monitor off mp3car, but it says the lcd has changed and just wondering if the new lcd and mainboard will fit in the old lilliput 619 case.

I just dont want to have to fabricate my dash again. So, i need the same model. Lilliput 619.

Wait! Don't spend $200 for something like that, take it down to the local television repair shop and point out the dodgy connection to the guy, he might be able to fix it up for a few bucks. You've got nothing to lose, if it doesn't work, you can still go out and buy a new one.

Thanks for the reply. I know a few shops and see if they can do anything.

Heck, it's worth a shot! Especially if you can point at something and say "when I wiggle this, it works".
