white lines with new carpc, bad IDE cable?

okay so i switched from a laptop to a carpc and with the new one i am getting 2 white lines on the right side of the screen, i know when i put my HDD in the carpc the ide cable was damaged slightly, would this cause the white lines to occur?

IDE cables have absolutely nothing to do with your screen, so in short, no.

good to know, must have shaken loose the cable then.
