I have around eight Toshiba T2110CS laptops and I want to somehow use one the screens with my main car computer.

Right now I plan on having one of them up front and use a program like PC Anywhere to control the Shuttle in the trunk. It should be good for things that the Palm cant do very well (like playlist editing and ripping CDs). Problem is this is way to slow to play DVDs on.

To solve the DVD playback issue I would like to take one of the screens off the Toshiba’s and use it with the computer in the trunk. A Toshiba T2110CS is only worth $25 on E-Bay and thus a heck of a lot cheaper then buying a 640x480 LCD.

Ok, so here are my questions: Has any one done any thing like this before? What would I need to do this? Were can I find the stuff to do it with?

I think you would need a controller and inverter.

Inverter for the backlight I presume... Were is a good place to find the controller?
