My next Touch Screen LCD - ELO 4220L

So, I was browsing around today at work (since we've been slow) and found a 42" LCD Touch Screen Monitor.

It's an ELO Touch systems 4220L with a SAW panel

Other than the iBar, I couldn't find a bigger touch panel out there.

"You say you're going big and putting a 10.4" screen in your car, puh-shaw check this out I got a 42 in there!"

I think this would actually be cool to see in a show car, something in the back with an interactive display of the products that are installed, they can interact with the car through the display and see the different products installed, and interact with it. Might even be cool in a limo maybe... There's some actual application possibilities here.

Too bad they're a couple g's, but in a $100G+ show car, that's a drop in the bucket.

42" elo

I was just looking at ELO's touchscreens and was thinking the same thing about that 42". The only thing about it is the resolution is very low for a screen that large. The maximum resolution is 1360 x 768. The cool thing is the brightness is 550 cd/m2 so it would be great in sunlight. Side wall mount it in a tricked out van, that would be sick. I'm still trying to figure out how to squeeze a 15" touchscreen in my S-10 Blazer, I want to upgrade from the 10.2" Xenarc.

That would be awesome for interactive panels in a home, for home automation and media playback or viewing surveillance.
(or all of the above, at the same time!)
