Hi guy's I've been looking for a motorised screen for a while now, and I really like the look of the Kenwoods and alpines etc, some of the Xenarcs have a cheap look about them and the x7000 would be perfect albeit for all the problems it's been having.

I found a cable that will do VGA to RGB and I think AV input and I think this would alow me to display the pc on the screen but I'm assuming that I'd not have any touch screen interface.
Unless there's a work around for this?

I know there's talk on developing an addon for Alpine monitors but will it be generic?

The Xenarc model you reference has VGA input built in.
The touchscreen is USB.
It is specifically made for PC use.
So you wouldn't need a VGA-RGB conversion device and you could use the touchscreen with the PC if you go with the Xenarc model.

As far as the units by Kenwood, Alpine, etc., you are correct. You won't get touch control of the PC and you'd need to get your video to a composite signal. And the video quality will suffer, as PC video is a much higher resolution than simple television.

As far as developing an adapter, I have no idea.
