question all the touch screen on my 701 is solder directly to the controller how to I replace it? and how to i remove the glass overlay without damaging the LCD?
It's not soldered on for mine. The ribbon cable from the touchscreen overlay is connected with a plastic tab thing that you can pull apart to separate the overlay from the circuit board. The overlay is attached to the LCD with 4 pieces of tape only, so just remove those.
