Lcd Help Wanted Pleeeeeeeze
Hey Folks,
Another humble newbie seeking the advice of the wise elders....
I bought 4 LCD displays from eBay. They were cheep!
The two I am particularly interested in is a 2x40 and a 2x20.
The are Hitachi HD44780A00 drivers.
Questions as follows....
I searched the forums for wiring diagram but they all depict an LCD display with a single row of 16 Pins..... mine have....
On one side 2 rows of 7 pins for data and crap like that and on the other end one has 4 and one has 2 pads, i assume for a backlight.
I wanted to invert these displays and as I have played with them before i remove the metal shield thing and was going to flip the polariser back to front to invert it but....... No polariser??? is this me being dumb???
One display has an el stip behing to illuminate it but the other des not.... can you buy this stuff?
Also... can you run two displays of one parallel port?? Displaying different information????
