Question azdisplays experience/thoughts?

Hi all,
I'm new here. Just finished an audio install on my BMW Z4 MC & decided that I wanted some source options better than an iPod, and after using a portable GPS for the first time (aside from my blackberry), I think a carputer is the way to go!

Anyway, I just purchased an OEM nav display which uses a 6.5" pop-up/tilting panel. I've read that it's pretty low-res, something like 240x480 or less. I haven't even hooked it up to a PC yet, but I'm pretty sure I want to replace it. I glanced at those 7" xenarc screens, but it looks like disassembling one & fitting the guts into this German contraption will be a tad difficult.

So anyway, has anybody purchased anything from AZDisplays.com ? I spotted some of their kits:

and it looks like having all the components separate will be the way-to-go. The panels themselves are very compact, and with the "decoder board" connected (TTL) via a 12" or so cable, mounting looks to be MUCH easier. Prices seem decent too...

Here's the dash that I'll be cutting into... yikes!!
