Xenarc 706TSA without input box?
Is it possible to drive the 706TSA without using the input box?
I have the pin-out of the 20-way Xenarc connector, and with 4 twisted-pairs for data and 1 for the clock, it looks like LVDS. My controller board has an LVDS connector, but I cannot get it to work (using a home-made cable).
i.e. The monitor is powered, the four menu buttons are illuminated blue, the power button is illuminated red, but it will not power-up. There is no image, no OSD.
My concern is that Xenarc have implemented some sort of proprietary handshake protocol between the input box and the display.
For example, if you disconnect and then re-connect the cable between the input box and the monitor, the monitor will not recover. You have to power-cycle the input box in order to get an image back.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Any other tips on reverse-engineering the 20-way connector on the 706TSA?
