Vertical lines on screen

Tonight I finally got around to taking my screen mount off my car to do some maintenence to the bracketing I have around the screen to keep it in place and ever since I did that I have this 1/4 section blacked out and with vertical lines. The lines have changed places at least once since this happened, but I can't figure out what is causing this issue. Does anyone have good ideas? I tried messing with almost all the wires on the screen with no change. I don't think I even touched any of the controllers when this happened - maybe it touched something and got shocked?

Here are a couple more pictures - first is of the entire back with a couple of the controller boards removed, the second is of what I think is the affecting portion of the cable to the LCD...

I think this problem may be due to one of the cables being loose between the screen and the VGA cable - will try and remedy it tomorrow.

I'm sorry to tell you, but it's beyond repair.

From my worklog:

You can't even replace the damaged flexible circuits, as they are glued to the glass.

^ditto - well no microscope, but it is the actual screen - and not something you can deal with by hand
start looking for a new screen

Yeah, I already started doing that - thought it was busted, but thought I would give it a shot anyway. Good thing there is a Xenarc 10.2" widescreen now that should work
