Great news! I've been looking for a chip that will cut the frequency in half for videocards that aren't capable of the 15KHz HSync. I believe I have found one, a J-K Flip Flop. By connecting the HSync input to the J input, and hooking the Q to HSync output, you should be able to reduce frequency from 30KHz to 15KHz. I still think powerstrip should be used for centering and stuff, but this could allow all SVGA video cards to work with RGB, instead of the 15KHz ones. I have yet to test the J-K flip-flops at such high frequencies, though. I think they can handle about 15MHz, but I could be wrong.

Bad news. What you are proposing probably won't work. The color information is still being output on the RGB pins at a 30kHz scan line frequency, so at best you'll end up with 2 side by side images (with the front porch of the second image in the centre of the screen). You'll also still have to deal with an out of range VSync frequency.
Generally these monitors are expecting an interlaced signal, not progressive scan - how do you propose to solve that one?
There is a reason why scan converters are so expensive. It is because the contain a bit more than a flip flop. The need to sample and replay an entire frame generally.

Also i was thinking about it make sure your using the right size wire. I was just going to buy a BNC cable and snipe the ends and use the right solder to tap into my navigation.

Oh, that sounds familiar.

Would you say a different video card is in order for me then? Is this what 30khz scan frequency looks like on a PSone? Haven't had a chance to tinker with this for a while, but it sounds like you're familiar with this condition. Any hints?
BTW, I was following Mpro's directions when I wired it up.

Different video card that can be adjusted down to 15kHz (best option) or scan converter (poorer quality).
I don't have a PSone LCD, never have, and have never attempted to connect one of these things. My familiarity is based on common sense on how this stuff actually works.

Try a video card that supports the 15khz frequency and try wiring it to the standards of a VGA adapter.

Just thought I would add my .02!
I think that anyone who has gotten this to work and is very comfortable with this, should make more and sell them. I'm sure that dumb people like me that don't even wanna screw with modding a screen, would pay to just have it arrive at their house already modded.
Again, just my .02
Peace,
Rafster

No I didn't, I said they were "poorer" quality (than a video card running at 15kHz).

Yep, it's a scan converter, it's probably a very nice scan converter. My advice is spend your money on a card that'll do 15kHz instead, you'll probably be happier with the result.

This Link under TTL level sync signal show you how.
Or you can look at my Express PCB drawing.
I don't get part of this circuit.
I colored the area in white that doesn't seem to make any sense to me. It seems that nothing is connected to 5 and 6 or the connection to the 78LS86 right next to them. Can someone explain what gets connected there?

Jumper the middle pin to one of the outside pins. It's there to configure which psone connector pin is used to supply the csync.
