Can somebody start a list of LCDs that have been confirmed working with this mod?

Think itd be possible to use a bios editor to edit the video card's bios, so that it would work at 15khz from the bootup..? Using powerstrip doesn't seem like a very good solution.. =\

I've been telling people that I've found a site(www.radeon2.ru in the vivo forum)that claims this is possible with radeon cards, but the site is in russian, and I cant find a translator that can properly male sense of the characters.Anybody know Russian?p.p. I've already emailed ati and they say no,but from what I have been able to translate,it seems to be working for these guys(some of them anyways =)

also I forgot to mention that the signal apparently comes from the 7 pin tv out(after u edit the bios to enable unnsupported tv out formats)so u wouldnt actually have to change vga card settings at all.u are just switching the signal to scart rgb.I think its worth it to try translating it,but as I said I need some help

Well, I wired it up Exactly as you said... except, in order to get picture I had to put a resistor from each color to the sync, otherwise i barely got any image... also, I cant get any color!

The image is black and white only =( What could be causing this? I'm using 75ohm resistors.. but I dont think that should matter...? =(

If i wired everything right, then Interacts 5.6" screen doesnt work.

You can’t put a resistor on all of them as you’re mixing all the signals together, that’s why it’s black and white.

You only have a resistor on the green to the sync.

Have you tried upping your brightness?

Try puting those resistors through to a ground line from each colour , instead of a synch line.

I'm sure that I saw somewhere that you need to do that to brighten the image.

You would still get the same outcome as you are still mixing the signals so it would be B&W again

but as your mixing it to ground it would make the signal even weaker.

PSONE VGA....

Hello Everyone, I've been going through all the posts that relate to the PSONE VGA conversion and am still a bit confused and just want to clear some things up before I empty my wallet. I will list my questions in a simple list. (FYI: I will need to do NTSC)

1. M Pro's modification is done with an NTSC LCD correct?
2. Has anyone modded the official Sony LCD and if yes, was it using M Pro's modification? (His seems simple enough that I can do it )
3. I have read reviews online that the Interact 5 inch version is decent. Does anyone know if this LCD can be used with MPro's mod? If not, does anyone know how to do it or know a way to do it?
4. The Redant LCD is the same as MPro's Thrustmaster Screenmate correct?

Well now that I am done being annoying, I would really appreciate it if someone could answer my questions. Thanks!

Hey!

I figured out that you can use ntsc singal, by connecting the video cable to the Sync Pin, and grounding the sheilding to the ground pin. Works like a charm for me

Re: Hey!

Congrats! Fusion-one! Now that you got yours working, I have some questions.
Are you using the interact 5.6 inch mobile monitor for the PSONE (Which is also NTSC)? If you are, would you be kind enough to make some sort of diagram or something that shows me how I can do the VGA mod? I am guessing that you used MPro's method, but had to do things a bit differently because the LCD was a different brand, but I dont understand what the shield pin, and video pin are. (From MPro's diagram, I only see "R, G, B, Hsync, Vsync, and ground." Sorry if I'm being a bit dense, but I am not very incline when it comes to circuits and stuff. Thanks.

I hooked up mPros diagram exactly, and was unable to get an acceptable image out of it, so I went the ntsc route and connected to the sync pin of the Psone a/v connector, and grounded the sheilding of my rca cable to the ground pin. The main reason I was doing the vga mod, was so I could use the [game - a/v] switch on the screen.. now, by default its displaying the computer signal, but if I plug something into its provided rca ports and flip the switch.. voila! Instant ability to play any game system

Also, yes I'm using the 5.6" Interact LCD.

I can just run the cables from any game system I plug in behind the sun visor, and tuck them down the side of the windsheild.. so they're totaly out of the way When I want to switch back to the carputer, to change a song or something.. I just flip the little switch on the front of the screen, and vise versa

The screen just flips up and out of the way when not in use, and I shaded from the sun, so its extremely clear at any time of the day!

This is the design I made which I'm going to have printed up on thick sticker material, so as to correct the orientation of the button labels

PS: The white **** you see on the screen is just the protective film.. I'm not removing it until I'm absolutly finished my install.. and I woulda gotten a shot of the screen in action, but my carputer is on my kitchen table atm... :P
