transflective lilliput 7"

Anyone have one of these? It's pretty decent price for being tranflective!?

Be aware that some sellers toss around the word transflective to sell product, regardless of whether the screen is truly transflective or not.

You're dealing with EBay and, unfortunately, there are some sleazy individuals that can and will use EBay to try to scam people.
Hopefully this is not one of them.

That appears to be the same that mo-co-so.com sells, for a similar price. I was thinking of getting one myself, but I'm wondering if they are as good as the more expensive transflective units.

Here it is without the frame, for the same price as the eBay one:

I can speak from experience on this one. IT SUCKS!!!! The Linitx screen is not only more sensitive it also way better under direct sunlight. I have this transflective screen and in partial sunlight i can't even see the screen. If u are going to get one either the linitx one or get the optically bonded one.

You need a lot of machinery to do so as well so it is a thin even layer, otherwise it turns out crap.

As to the OP, there is no comparison between a real transflective that is completely bonded like the one in the mp3car store (they get made just for them), and ones that just boost the brightness a bit (like the ebay ad). Also the mocoso/motorcity/others arent completely bonded. They are better than the "ebay ones", but still arent as good as the ones sold in the store here. And you support the forums, so it's win/win.

I can't find any pictures/videos of bonding process in order to know how hard is bonding.

I thought it was like a gel with hardener that you have to put beetween the LCD panel and the touch panel.

From my understanding of it, I am pretty sure that is part of it. But like all goo, it gets bubbles and crap/dust in it that then you will see all the time. It needs to be done in a clean room at the very least.

It seems like everywhere Lilliput is selling screens with the BEFII and ESR, then claiming it as transreflective. Ive manually added these films to my screen and although there is a slight improvement, I would not go as far as to say this is transreflective. Kind of misleading in my opinion. Definately not worth the $400.

This is a trusted seller. I have purchased all my screens from him. I have bought 4 from him and going to buy 2 more. He ships fast, and if you have an issue, he will gladly help you. My main screen's 800x600 resolution blew out and he bent over backwards to get it fixed.
