Talking FAO Digitalww and all other touchscreen gurus!

Hey all,
Just plannin my own little mp3 player in my Fiat Punto. Basing system round a VIA EPIA C3 800 mobo. Think a touchscreen would be really cool. Unfortunately my electronics skills aren't the best.

Looked through a couple of old posts, and found this product:

from digitalww.com

Was wondering has anyone else got one?
How easy are they to put together? I mean is there a lot of soldering involved?
Could I get the kit all wired up? Also how does it connect? Is there just a single cable from the unit, which plugs into the USB port?

I hope digitalww sees this post(sorry didnt email u guys directly, but its 3.30 in the UK, I'm in college and for some reason I'm not able to access your page, but can this one)

Thanks, for any help guys,

Rav

Hi Rav

The touch kit will work right out of the box. There is no soldering at all. Here is a pic of the kit all assembled (click to enlarge):

Do you do a 15" one? If so, how much is it?

Armen,
that is so cool.
I have to get me one of those.
How is the screen size measured? Diagonally like a CRT?

Cheers

Yes, measure it diagonally. 7" will be the viewing area, so the total length diagonally will be a little more. Also here is the exact measurements of the 7" touch panel: Click Here

Most likely I can get a 15" panel but it will have to be the next time I order. I ordered a 17" panel for myself and it is coming with this current order I am waiting for so I will post a couple of pics of before and after.
