Xenarc Monitors in UK
I've been talking with Xenarc about bringing their touchscreen monitors into the UK. In order to make it practical I need to order 5 at a time.
Is anyone interested? The model I'm looking at is the 700TS and they will cost about £375 delivered.
Hope to hear from you

So that would be the 7inch VGA input screen with Touchscreen?
Is the price you quoted a fully inclusive price or are we looking at VAT and delivery on top? I.e is that delivered to you or to each person who orders?
One other thing. God forbid there's a problem with them who would be they be returned to?

All Very good questions!
It is the 700TS 7 inch monitor with touchscreen.
Nothing further to pay as I'm not VAT registered and the price includes shipping by Post Office Special Delivery.
I'm sure we would be able to return them warranty but it would be at our own expense.
I've been looking at these monitors for a while but buying them in the UK has been prohibitively expensive. If there are a few of us interested in buying them we could all save a few bob. Something very dear to my heart!!

Read this thread
It Appears Xenarc have two UK distributors already.
I have emailed ENnovations, and had a reply that they only deal with UK/europe, but didn't provide me with either a price or a retail distributor.
I've mailed them back, and am waiting for them to confirm whether they had a list of retailers or can supply direct.
I pointed them here, and mentioned that most people buy and import the Xenarc branded screens, so hopefully they might see the market, and take a hint.

Ok,
This is the 7inch monitor with touchscreen. We have two choices, direct from Xenarc USA without warranty for £375 or from Ennovations at £395. In both cases this includes delivery to you by Post Office special delivery.
Anyone interested?

Did eNnovations give you that as a trade price? or Retail?
I was under the impression that they didn't do retail on them.
Are you planning a group by as trade?
Is that definatley with touch, I may be interested.
Was considering one of the united appliance ones from the US, but a UK based Gain/Xenarc screen sounds better.
how would you take payment?

Just a quicky, but is that the 700-YY with touch that EnNovations have on their site.
They list it as 640x480 in both video and vga.
Are these more recent than the ones that they list, and can do the higher res, same as the ones listed from the US? I'm picky, I know, sorry. If I'm going to spend money, I'm going to do it right.

Same here,
I would much rather get it from a UK Distro if that means spending an Extra £20 as that would mean a) We are likely to get them b) UK Law Applies c) We have someone this side of the ocean to chase if things go wrong
I would be interested as I was just about to spend £400 on a Sony XTL-W70 inc TV Tuner. But VGA Touchscreen and no TV Tuner might be a better use of the money

Likewise.
Wanted a little bigger, and standard resolution.
But the United Appliance screens were 3 weeks away plus postage time.
They were only 100 nit
I would need to buy a Touchscreen.
So $190 + Shipping, plus VAT and Duty if picked up.
I know for the screen I was looking at, it would still be cheaper than the Xenarc, but I like the UK buy.

Hey Falken
I got a reply back from enNovation regarding the screen prices if I needed an urgent buy single unit.
Your prices were very fair. Thinking about it probably from the same quote template, with postage added?

To be honest I'd prefer to buy from the UK as well. Recently I bought a touchscreen from overseas. Unfortunately it gave a nasty shock if you touched the case. The company I bought it from has been more than fair and refunded my money (I've still had to pay the cost of shipping both ways though).
The prices I've got are for the 700Y which meets my requirements but if there is enough interest we could go for one of the other models. Of course then the price is differentl
If we buy more than 5 then the price might come down, if so I'll pass the saving straight on. I don't want paying until we've got enough committed to make it worthwhile.
I've got a project where I can use a couple of them straight away. If that goes ok then I'm going to retail them at about £465. Sadly all the price hike will go to the taxman as I'm in the process of registering for VAT!

Falken, I know it is the VAT man, pushing it up, but £465 takes it a bit rich for me.
Thats more than my car cost, Yes the Saab Turbo was under £400, never mind what I've spent on the PC (that is cobbled from bits.

It is too much for me as well. I can justify the £395 which is why I want to buy and sell them before my registration is sorted out.

£395 is what I'd be looking at too as its that £400 barrier that puts me off.
I assume that the £375 per unit importing via the US does not include VAT either?
Hmmm, the way I see it that since you'd be looking at 5 to get the discount, if you import them from the US you run the risk of being charged import duties on top of the US price and then VAT on top of that as Customs are likely to look at a package that is insured for in essence $2750 ($550 US street price for 700TS)???
However, going via the UK route I imagine this is less likely as customs aren't involved???
BTW you aren't comparing like for like, since the US sourced ones have touchscreen yet the price you got for the UK one is for the 700Y which doesn't have touchscreen. That's a $80 diff in price alone going by the US prices?

I know it will be a lot less bright, and I will have to work on improving the back light without washing out the display, but I'm edging back the $190 100nit full VGA kit from united Appliances that I found before, as the MK1 screen, with an add on touchscreen. That way I could get the screen and a touch screen for under $300, even if I will have to work on it.
