Editing drivers for motorized K301 touchscreen?

I've been using a K301 touch screen ( http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/506 ) for the last year or so, when recently I had to take my dash apart to do some work, and when I plugged it back in, the touch screen doesn't work as it did before.

For example: My finger will press the center of the screen, however the mouse pointer will appear an inch above, and to the right my press. (Think +5, +5 on an X,Y Axis)

Anyway, I've noticed that when I trace my finger DOWN the screen, the arrow moves to the RIGHT When I move it to the RIGHT, it moves DOWN. Same for the other directions.

Now I believed it was perhaps a driver issue. If this is the case, is it possible for me to edit the drivers so that I can change the values where, say, me moving my finger DOWN will make the mouse pointer go DOWN again?

I have a different LCD but it is lilliput and is those old models I guess. EXACT thing happened to me when I was trying to install my second touch screen monitor. I tought it is hardware problem so I was just keep changing the USB ports by unpluging the cable and plug it in to another usb port and after few time changing, I uninstall the driver and reinstall it again for few time (2times i guess) and it started working like normal. and its more than 2 months now its working flawlessly.
so just try what I did.

wish you best luck mate

Have you calibrated the touchscreen since you reassembled it?

Yes I have, and I am getting the same errors.

I will try what you suggested though, and place the usb into a different input and see how that works out. I'll let you guys know how it goes. In any case, if I can't get it to work I'll just stick with a mini keyboard/mousepad combination that I'll mount to my arm rest.

I think you were the guy I sold my k301 to. Sucks to hear you are having problems. Could you elaborate what you did to the screen when you took your dash apart then reinstalled it? Did you take the screen apart? Could there be additional pressure you are applying to the surface/side of the screen, maybe from a tight screw?

Try the 9 point as well as the 25 point calibration. If that doesn't work, then I guess you could try different drivers. When I had the k301, I was using it with the stock drivers in the included CD and that worked just fine. Remember to go to device manager, right click on the device and uninstall drivers before you reinstall with a new driver. You can also try the newest drivers from here:

http://www.touchkit.com/Drivers.htm

Last resort would be to get a 7" touchkit overlay which comes with it's own usb controller from eBay or DealExtreme and install that. If you need help taking the screen apart, PM me. It's VERY delicate.
