Anyone have experience with one of these VGA to S-video cables?

Does it work?

These do not actually convert VGA to Composite/S-Video, this only tells cards designed for it to output Composite/S-Video on the correct pins. Unless your card was designed to use this adapter, it won't work.

Which is what the seller meant by "It will work with laptops and desktops with VGA cards that has TV-Out function capability". I really wish sellers would be more clear on these kinds of things, but the seller may not have really known.

Yeah it's like those "PS2 to USB" or "USB to PS2" adaptors they sell on ebay for mide and keyboards. They don't just make a PS2 mouse work on a USB port but people will still shell out 10 bucks for a useless piece of crap.

On second thought, I have about 100 of those little green bastards.. Maybe I should start selling them:

"Add a USB port to your computer with this handy adaptor! Plugs directly into PS2 keyboard or mouse port! Much easier to install than more expensive "PCI" cards"
