I need to replace the LCD ribbon cable on a lilliput 619. While searching, most posts recommend buying the cable from http://www.digitalww.com/ . That site seems to be down for around a year now. The rests of the results are pretty much unanswered questions about where to get the ribbon cables from.

Where can I get a replacement ribbon cable for a 619?
Has anyone had any luck modding some other generic ribbon cable to make it work?

the mp3car store itself sells ribbon cables. how many pins on it and how are they spaced apart?

You need

.50mm FFC Low Profile Connectors 0.5mm JUMPER 40POS Type D FFC 7.00

There are two types A and D, one has pins same side, the other has the pins reveresed.

in my case is same side pins so this seems to be the closest match:
