Indash touch VGA screen with 4x audio amp and IDE/USB DVD drive
Does such a unit exist as in the title?
Basically, what do most of car PC users do for "playing a CD/movie"
Looking for a unit which has a touch VGA screen, 4x audio amp, DVD drive and AM?FM tuner would be a nice touch too.
Any suggestions?

When DigitalWW was around, there was the DWW-6500 that had all that in a double-DIN package.
They weren't great quality, from what I understand.
Xenarc makes the MDT-X7000, but owners report lots of problems, as well.
The other option is to use a USB DVD drive for the PC (which is what both these units have integrated).
The preferred choice is a slim (for a laptop) slot-load drive.

I think I remember seeing one on their site previously, but can't find it now.
Their nano-ITX enclosure has an option for the amplifier, but no obvious optical drive.... Unless I'm missing something.

i dont think its the same. I think they used to sell the DWW6500 type last year, I even tried to buy it. They didnt carry it anymore.
They had a replacement for it, but it had no AM/FM Tuner, but has a 7" Innolux screen. Which is the one I bought from them.
Then they discontinued it maybe a couple months ago, and replaced with this new 6.5".
There was this thread from way back, has similar model numbering, similar design. But their site is dead. They even had a signup list.

Darque, you're correct they don't have an in-dash optical drive. But for the price, I have to say that's a good setup for a complete in-dash enclosure (either build-your-own, or turn-key).
