Cables

Hey,

I need a looooooooooong cable from the boot of my car to the dash for the screen - going to be using Composite out..

Just to check, I just need a simple RCA - RCA cable, right? I've found one.. but it seems quite cheap for video and wondered if it would be ok?

You can buy a cable with 3 RCA Males on each end or 2.. so it seems as if they are doing Video, Audio etc.. but I just wanna check.

Thanks,
Daz.

yes thats what you need. You also probably don't need the gold tipped rca cable. I'd just get like a 16 foot rca cable. You can buy just the video. Usually the dual ones are for audio.. both channels and the triple ones are for audio/video. No need to spend more cash when you don't have to.

you can run rca cable like 50 feet without a problem.. i'm sure you don't have to run it that far.

Well, they are both very cheap.

$4.66 for 10metres Gold Plated with 2 RCA on each end.. not sure what that is in feet.

Will probably end up buying this one.. if it'll work - 10metres should do it easily.. and give me some spare! Always best to have too much than not enough, hehe.

Thanks,
Daz.

10 meters is 32.8 feet

from http://www.uttyler.edu/mowings/Conversion%20factors.htm

1 meter = 3.28 feet
To convert meters to feet, multiply meters x 3.28
To convert feet to meters, divide feet / 3.28
