Couple Questions on the DS700YY DSCustoms Touch...
Is 7 inches really big enough to do most of what you would do in a car? Seems like a little small.
Does anyone know of a gooseneck mount that is could be mounted to? It will be going the chevy tahoe pictured below
and I need to find a way to mount it to the side of the console and have it gooseneck up and over the side, so it would stick up above the console, facing the drivers area. Any ideas?
DSCustoms man - you shipping the USB versions yet?
Thanks!

Now that is a center console!!! There is a mounting hole on the bottom of the unit, standard camera size, so all your camera goosenecks or tripod attachments will work. I'd put it right in front of that change tray on your dash.
Dave
Serial to USB adapters are $10 at computergeeks.com, special ordering 500 units of the USB version of this screen just for that one difference?? Priceless.
I'll have them when they finally listen to me and make it a standard feature.

Been there , done that .
I found the best goose neck was made by Bogen.
Its sold as a camera tripod accessory. Its fairly stiff, and has standard threads on it . some sheet metal, and a bolt, and you are all set -
I had one hell of a time finding the thing, It turns out a local camera shop sold it for 20.00, so many people asked me about them, I bought extras and sold them....
Here are some pics with my lcd on it

I got a shorter gooseneck with a portable CD-player mount...from some stereo store or walmart/kmart/target...
You can see a picture of it on my site holding my old 4"screen.
I think it was called Mr Bracket? But has a heavy lower mount with two threaded holes so you can put the mount on a vertical surface or on a horizontal surface. You can see by the picture that it is a stout item...maybe you can find one like that.

has anyone actually been able to get the touchscreen software to recognize the screen when its plugged in? I got 2 usb adapters, and i cant get them to work. I didnt see any drivers on the included CD, and i was able to get windows to see there was a usb adapter, and change the com port of it, but when i go to add controller, it says none found.

I have the newest drivers on my website, when you first install them, it asks if you want the USB support.
