View DVD & PC with VGA (640 x 480)???

Is it possible to use a VGA (640 x 480) resolution to watch DVDs and connect to a regular PC, assuming the proper interface to the LCD???
Thanks

Its not clear from your post...do you want to use a computer monitor to watch a DVD player? Or do you want to connect a DVD player to your computer?

If it has a standard vga connector on it, it will work fine.

Have you even tried to connect it?

Remember you need a DVD player to be able to see DVD's on it.

Never been connected. Dont have a DVD player yet. I was just wondering if The DVD format or output had a minimum resolution requirement to view them..

some of the original players actually force the res down to 640 x 480. Come to think of it, Im almost certin windvd does this on my toshiba lap top (6 months old 1.8 g)

Standard TV res is 720 x 480
